Hello.

I’m Jill and I’m delighted to introduce you to WeTalkToo. We are an organisation that has one mission and that is to break the stigma around mental health in the workplace.

1 in 4 people experience a mental health issue every year however many feel unable to talk about it in the workplace for many different reasons. I have a passion for people which led me to the world of HR where I spent over 18 years developing and implementing initiatives around culture, high performance and wellbeing.

Work plays an important part in our health and wellbeing and I believe that everyone has the right to work in a mentally healthy workplace and when people feel safe to talk about mental health they can truly thrive in work.

Get to know me

I have spent many years working as a HR Director to develop and implement initiatives around culture, high performance and health and wellbeing for a number of businesses across various sectors. After struggling with my own mental health, I began to become more curious and passionate about mental health in the workplace, and quickly realised that much more can be done when it comes to building psychologically safe cultures where people can remain in work and thrive despite experiencing mental ill health. This has clear benefits to both the individual and the organisation.

I have worked with many clients and helped them to shape their businesses to become more receptive to mental health and understand how to influence behaviour and attitudes to drive positive mental health and wellbeing. I’m also delighted to have been featured in Forbes magazine amongst other editorials where I have been able to share insight and guidance to influence the way we think about mental health.

As a CIPD qualified HR professional I wanted to build on my years of people management experience and am delighted to have now also qualified as a licensed Mental Health First Aid Instructor for MHFA England. In my spare time I volunteer as a ChildLine Counsellor where I am able to support the mental health needs of children and young people which is an important part of my life. I love what I do every day and it’s true that “if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.”

There is no health without mental health and we must all do what we can to break the stigma that still exists in workplaces today. I invite you to join me in that mission.
